Answer: Lal Bahadur Shastri was a great leader of India. He was known for his honesty, simplicity, and patriotism. During the freedom struggle, he spent time in jail but always remained dedicated to the nation. Later, he became the Prime Minister of India in 1964. His famous slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” inspired people during the 1965 war. He was honored with the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1966. He will always be remembered for his selfless service to the country.
