“Thrills of Kanha Kisli” is a lesson of Class 8 Textbook of MPBSE. Here all the Exercises Questions are done by teachers.
Word Power
A) The words in a dictionary are arranged in alphabetical order. It is the same order in which you have learnt the alphabet. a, b, c, d, _ _ _ _’. So the words that begin with the letters that come earlier will be placed first. Thus ‘battle’ will be written before ‘call’. When the first letter of two words is the same, then the second letter is considered. Thus ‘climate’ will be written before ‘cobbler’. If the second letter of two words is the same too, then we consider the third, and so on. Thus ‘abacus’ will be written before ‘abdomen’. As the first two letters ‘a’ and ‘b’ are the same, the third letter is considered. The third letter of ‘abacus’ is ‘a’ and that of ‘abdomen’ is ‘d’; since ‘a’ comes before ‘d’ ‘abacus’ is written before ‘abdomen’.

Dear Amit,
I hope this letter finds you in great health and spirits. I am writing to share an exciting experience I had during my recent visit to Kanha Kisli. It is one of the most beautiful National Parks I have ever seen!
Kanha Kisli is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, and it is famous for its rich flora and fauna. During my visit, I stayed at the Baghira log huts, which were surrounded by a dense forest. I got a chance to see some incredible wildlife, including deer, blackbucks, and even a tiger! It was thrilling to see a tigress with her cubs resting in the bushes.
I also enjoyed the natural beauty of the park, with its vast grassy plains and serene environment. Bird lovers would find it a paradise, as I spotted several species of birds during my stay. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I would love to visit again someday.
I hope you can plan a trip to Kanha Kisli too; it is truly worth seeing. Do write back and let me know how you are doing.
Yours affectionately,
Ranjeet
